About Bob and Mike Ammerman

Mike & Bob in tobacco field Mike Ammerman is Vice President and Chief of Operations for Farmer’s Tobacco Company of Cynthiana, Inc. Born and raised in Pendleton County, Kentucky, he grew up working on the family farm, where he and his father Bob raised tobacco, corn, soybeans, wheat and cattle. Mike attended Georgetown College, majoring in business administration and minoring in religion, then returned home in 1983 to help run the family business, which by then had expanded to include tobacco warehouses and farm equipment sales. Mike met his wife of 17 years, Debra, on a blind date. Mike and Debra have three children and now reside in Harrison County. Mike continues to farm full-time in addition to running daily operations for Farmer’s Tobacco and Kentucky’s Best.

Bob Ammerman is President of Farmer’s Tobacco Company of Cynthiana, Inc. Born and raised in Pendleton County, Kentucky, Bob has been a farmer all his life, like his father and grandfathers before him. In addition to raising tobacco, corn, soybeans, wheat and cattle, Bob has made his livelihood from tobacco warehousing and farm equipment sales. He also worked for 7 years in the banking industry while continuing to farm. He and his wife Betty have been married for 43 years and have 2 children, Mike and Lisa. Bob continues to oversee a 700-acre farming operation in addition to heading Farmer’s Tobacco and Kentucky’s Best.
