You say many other companies make their cigarettes out of reconstituted tobacco. What is that exactly?

Reconstituted tobacco is often made by mixing tobacco stems, dust, and other scraps, and dissolving these into a liquid. This liquid is then dried out into a flat sheet, which is chopped up to make smoking tobacco. We wouldn’t want to smoke something like that, and we figure our customers wouldn’t either, so you will never find reconstituted tobacco in a Kentucky’s Best cigarette.

Cynthiana, Kentucky is home to Farmer's Tobacco and the only place in the world where Kentucky’s Best cigarettes are made. The seat of Harrison County, Cynthiana is located in the northern area of the Bluegrass Region just above Lexington. Unfortunately, government lawyers have put rules in place about that too. By law, we are not allowed to provide any type of apparel or promotional items to our customers, and we have some pretty tough restrictions on advertising too. We agree with the reason behind it, which is to discourage under-age smoking, but we are sorry that it restricts our adult customers from wearing or displaying what they choose to.
